'Ringo Scholarship Recipients Interviewed

ABOUT THE MIKE WIERINGO SCHOLARSHIP

This $2,300* (USD) scholarship was established in memory of renowned comic book artist Mike Wieringo.

The recipient of this scholarship must be a full-time undergraduate student studying sequential
art with the intention of becoming a comic book creator. All applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need. This scholarship is renewable up to three times as long as the recipient continues to meet established criteria.

Finalists will be expected to submit a portfolio which will be reviewed by the Wieringo family and a rotating panel of comic book industry professionals.

The first Mike Wieringo Scholarship was awarded in 2009.
